ARRIVED AROUND 2:00 PM ON SUNDAY 8/27/17 AND FOUND THE MUSEUM CLOSED WITH NO EXPLANATION. "we were very disappointed"
One of the many historic venues in the Midwest. A must see
A Western Missouri Civil War battlefield site. The remaining battlefield is located on privately owned farmland and needs to be purchased and preserved. Please help. UPDATE, recent archaeology at the Cave Hotel may have uncovered portions of the original Cave Hotel foundations. This building was destroyed by fire during the battle. Additional work will be forthcoming, I'm sure.
Not much to do, and not an overall very exciting place.
